On August 6, the shortlisting results for China Energy Engineering Group's 2025 centralized procurement project for lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage systems were officially announced. Tongqi New Energy, a subsidiary of Tianqi Hongyuan, secured both Bid Package 2 (0.5C/2-hour system, 6GW/12GWh) and Bid Package 3 (0.25C/4-hour system, 2.5GW/10GWh) through its cutting-edge technological capabilities and outstanding market performance. It stands as one of only 15 companies to win both bid packages!

[Peak Competition, Breakthrough Performance]

This centralized procurement attracted top-tier energy storage enterprises nationwide, with 31 industry leaders including CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, CATL, Sungrow, and Envision competing head-to-head. Bid Package 2 drew 28 qualified bidders, while Bid Package 3 saw even fiercer competition with only 26 companies making the cut. Tongqi New Energy's dual-package win propelled it into the “three-package contender” tier alongside eight other firms including Tiancheng Tongchuang, CATL, and Sungrow, demonstrating comprehensive technological prowess and project experience.

• Bid Package 2: Cumulative completion of over 1,000 MWh in single-project performance within the past two years;

• Bid Package 3 requires cumulative completion of over 500MWh in single-project performance.
