Great News! Qingyang City Establishes Strategic Partnership with Tongli Risheng and Tianqi Hongyuan!

On March 5, the People's Government of Qingyang City, Gansu Province, successfully signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery Co., Ltd. and Beijing Tianqi Hongyuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Li Guoping, Chairman of Tongli Risheng, and Wang Ye, Chairman of Tianqi Hongyuan, jointly attended the signing ceremony. This marks the official launch of in-depth cooperation among the three parties in new energy equipment manufacturing and energy storage applications, injecting strong momentum into Qingyang City's development as a national hub node for the “East Data, West Computing” initiative.

Project Focuses on Energy Storage Manufacturing and Green Power Direct Supply with 2 Billion Yuan Investment

Under the agreement, the three parties will collaborate on establishing an energy storage equipment manufacturing base and constructing energy storage power stations. The project, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, will be implemented in phases: Phase I will commence in Q1 2025, leasing 15,000 square meters of factory space to build a 2GWh energy storage equipment production line and a 1GWh lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage power station. Equipment commissioning and production are expected to be completed in Q3-Q4. Upon completion, the energy storage power station will directly supply green electricity to data centers within Qingyang's “East Data, West Computing” industrial park. This will effectively reduce data center energy consumption costs and enhance the cleanliness of computing networks. While ensuring power supply reliability, the project will minimize the number of backup diesel generator sets required. Upon full production capacity, the project is projected to generate an annual output value exceeding 3 billion yuan, contribute approximately 80 million yuan in new tax revenue annually, and create over 600 local jobs, significantly enhancing Qingyang's competitiveness in the green energy sector.

At the signing ceremony, Li Guoping, Chairman of Tongli Risheng, stated: “Qingyang serves as a core hub in the national ‘East Data, West Computing’ strategy. This collaboration will fully leverage Tongli Risheng's technological strengths across the entire energy storage industry chain to facilitate the green transformation of data centers and provide a benchmark for regional energy structure optimization.” Wang Ye, Chairman of Tianqi Hongyuan, emphasized: “With years of dedicated research in core energy storage technologies, Tianqi Hongyuan will leverage Qingyang's abundant energy resources and policy support to deepen the integration of new energy and the digital economy, contributing corporate strength toward achieving the dual carbon goals.”  

As a key node in China's integrated computing power network, Qingyang City has attracted leading enterprises such as Huawei Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. This tripartite collaboration will further solidify Qingyang's dual-engine advantage in new energy and the digital economy, setting a new benchmark for high-quality green economic development in western China.
